You will LOVE the G-Brush!
Published: January 19, 2010

This toy is truly fabulous! It has immediately become one of the top 2 favorite toys in my collection. It's so easy to bring such great results with the G-Brush, sometimes too quickly. The simple and streamlined design of this toy will surely put you over the edge. No batteries required!
Pros:
Smooth, durable and low-maintenance ceramic with an effective design and perfect width.
Cons:
None!

This toy could be the perfect G-spot stimulator. It's material, size and design all contribute to make the G-Brush a dream-like experience, the perfect trifecta. Many toys have one or maybe two perfect features, but this toy, in my opinion, has it all.

This toy is made to stimulate the G-spot, either in solo play or with a partner. If used in conjunction with a clitoral stimulator toy, like the
LayaSpot or Crystal Chic Vibe, the G-brush will take you over the edge in no time. Every time I use it I wanted to enjoy the sensation for longer, but I could only last about 45 seconds once I'd inserted it.

The G-brush is now my go-to insertion toy and I don't see it being replaced anytime soon.
The G-brush is unique in many ways, for one it's made of ceramic. This was my first ceramic toy and I must say, I love its feel so much that I'm starting to reconsider my love for silicone toys. The feel of ceramic is so smooth and substantial, it has a nice weight to it. You can adjust its temperature to be cold, hot, or anything in between. Just run it under water of the desired temperature, or warm it simply with your body heat. Between the G-Brush's extremely smooth texture, appropriate width and effective design, I've never had to grab my bottle of lube. Make sure you discontinue the use this toy if the ceramic is broken or chipped in anyway.
The G-Brush is the perfect shape and size for a moderate g-spot toy. The toy is 7.5 inches long and 1.5 inches wide. I found this to be the ideal compromise between something like the iTap G-Vibe, who's girth leaves a bit to be desired, and the White Stork, which was bit to much to handle.

The design of the G-brush is a smooth, slightly tapered shaft with a wider, curved and ribbed head. The more bulbous head feels great but could be too much for the more sensitive users. However, the smooth material greatly increases the ease of use of this toy.
I could not ask for anything more in terms the performance of this toy. The G-Brush is accurately named because you do use the ribbed head to "brush" your g-spot. Because of the location of one's g-spot, it is not necessary to insert the whole toy, but rather play with gentle, shallow thrusting of the head. You can also rub the ribbed head along your clit or vaginal opening.

The feel of the smooth ceramic, perfect width and ribbed head all make make the G-Brush's performance very effective and absolutely delicious. I can't think of one thing that I would change about this toy.
The G-Brush is made of vitrified ceramic, which means that it is non-porous and very durable. Ceramic is very hard, so I would be careful if you want to thrust it more "passionately". Clean this toy simply with warm water and mild soap, store it in the nice little pouch that it comes with.

Our Bumpy Little Friend
Published: December 28, 2009

Because of its size and ease of care, The Pleasure ceramic dildo is made for anyone from the most experienced to the beginner when it comes to dildos. Even without a flared end, I found it extremely pleasurable to use anally, but this is a personnel decision and should be considered carefully if your looking for anal toys. Di and I both agree whether in your pussy or your butt, The Pleasure dildo will bump, bump, bump you to wonderful orgasms.
Pros:
Shape, the bumps will drive you crazy, ease of care, good with any lube.
Cons:
Could be a little thicker, needs a flared base because it's wonderful for anal play.
Rating by reviewer: *****

When it comes to how this toy is best used, it's name, Pleasure, says it all. My wife Di and I found that our Bumpy Little Friend not only pleased her pussy, but also made my butt extremely happy. One word of caution when using it anally, Pleasure does not have a flared base. Even though I don't think many people could take its full eight inched anally, its best to err on the side of caution and either use it with great care and a good grip, or as I did, tie a silk cord around the last bump in case you need to retrieve it. My wife said that if she or I thrust Pleasure to deep and to hard into her pussy it did, as glass and ceramic dildos do, cause a slight amount of pain. This wasn't much of a problem for her because she was having to much fun feeling the bumps slide into her pussy and bumping over her G-spot.

She did say that the pleasure increased as she became more excited and her pussy swelled gripping and feeling the bumps better. If they ever make a new model of the Pleasure and make it thicker she'll be the first to buy one. As for using it anally, Pleasure is one of the few non-vibrating toys we own that actually pleases my ass and prostate as well as any vibe does. The bumps gliding over my prostate rapidly produce some incredible orgasms, both with and without ejaculating.
Di and I own a few glass dildos, but Pleasure is our first ceramic one. As far as texture goes there's no difference between the two materials. Pleasure comes with a list of care items which are pretty much the same as glass. It cleans up nicely with hot water and a good anti-bacterial soap. Never use it if it's cracked or chipped. The only difference I saw was you are not suppose to heat it in a microwave. Just like glass dildos, if you enjoy hot and cold in your sex play you'll enjoy The Pleasure. Di loves the cold touch on her pussy to start with and then she gets even more excited as her pussy heats the ceramic material nicely. The smoothness of ceramic should please both experienced and new users. Because Pleasure is so smooth it requires less lube then textured dildos do even when using it anally.
Di and I both love the design of Pleasure. It's so simple, yet so pleasing. Just a straight shaft with six 1 1/4 inch pussy pleasing bumps on it. With continued thrusting in and out those bumps are great at stimulating not only the G-spot but, Di says everytime a bump enters her pussy she feels her excitement grow. Di also got very excited, just short of orgasm, running the bumps over her clit. As far as anally, even though I've enjoyed dildos as large as two inches, Pleasure made up for it's lack of size with it's wonderful shape. Because of it's size insertion was very easy. Again I recommend using extreme caution using the Pleasure anally. I never had to get past the first four bumps to enjoy it, but in the midst of orgasm anything could happen so please use caution.
Bump,Bumps,Bumps, that's the best feature of The Pleasure. Ease of cleaning is good too. If Di and I could change anything about The Pleasure, for her it would be to make it slightly thicker and for me I'd love if it had a flared base or was harness compatible so Di could strap it on and pleasure my butt with it. But even without those features it has brought both of us plenty of hot orgasms.
Care for the Pleasure is extremely easy as with any glass or ceramic dildo. A good washing with hot water and a toy cleanser or anti-bacterial soap is all that's needed. I wouldn't recommend putting it in the dishwasher because if it gets chipped all your fun comes to an end. Pleasure comes with a very nice leather and suede case to store it in when your done playing. As far as lubes go, Pleasure can be used with anything.
Besides being a excellent orgasm producer, Pleasure also makes a very nice massager. Shortly after we received Pleasure Di injured her shoulder. I heated the Pleasure up with very hot water and rolled it over her shoulder and it ease a lot of the pain. Of course after her shoulder started feeling better we rolled it over her pussy and it could have been the couple of orgasms she had that made her feel better too.
The first time Di and I used The Pleasure dildo I made the mistake of starting to use it on her hot pussy without any foreplay. Di said that when I first slid it into her pussy the coolness felt great but she really couldn't feel the bumps all that well. It wasn't until I applied some good oral sex to her clit that her pussy lips began to swell and she really started gyrating and gripping the dildo faster and harder and begging me to thrust faster that she said she really started getting a lot of pleasure out of those wonderful bumps. This was soon followed by one of her gushing orgasms. This is why she wished it was a little thicker but after she gets nice and excited Pleasure works just fine. As I watched Di use Pleasure by herself I noticed that when she rubbed it over her clit she rubbed a lot faster then when she uses one of her vibes. She told me that if she rubbed the bumps on our bumpy little friend very fast over her clit it felt the same as nice vibrations do. I know what she's talking about because when I use it anally I thrust it a lot faster then I normally do with other vibes and dildos because the bumps running over my prostate rapidly are extremely pleasurable.
Follow-up commentary   I still like it 2 months after original review
Pleasure is still bringing us Pleasure. We learned a new trick with another toy and decided to give it a try with Pleasure. We lube Pleasure up real good and slipped it into my wife Di's anus and then we had intercourse. The bumps on Pleasure drove my cock crazy and the Di says she could feel all the wonderful extra pressure and the bumps on Pleasure massaging her tight butt. Of course with no flared end we had a silk cord tied to Pleasure so we wouldn't lose it. Sex is a learning experience and with toys there's always something to learn and it's sooo much fun.

Perfectly Pleasurable
Published: January 18, 2010

This is simply a great dildo. There are no bells and whistles, just stimulating bulbs. It is easy to use care for and is hypoallergenic, non-porous and latex-free. In short, it's perfect.
Pros:
Non-porous
Beautiful shape
Easy to clean/care for
Cons:
None

This is my first ceramic toy and I am in love. It's beautiful, has lovely bulbs, is handcrafted and very fun to play with. I chose red for the color and it's a nice shade and the glaze is very smooth and shiny. I believe its non-phallic appearance would make it easy to get away with having it out in the open. I've read about this toy being used as a massager so that could be your cover story.

Since the toy is ceramic it is not flexible and has absolutely no give, so bear that in mind when considering purchasing Pleasure. Me, I love its rigidity. Soft has its place but give me a rigid steel, glass, or ceramic toy and I'm a happy little camper. Pleasure measures in at 7 1/2" long and nearly all of them are insertable. Its circumference is 4" (1.27" diameter). The bulbs are all the same size but since this toy is made by hand, you might find some slight variations in yours. It has a simple flat base which allows it to stand upright.
Since the base is not flared, I recommend that you be very careful when playing anally.

Weighing in at 7.6oz., Pleasure is not very heavy but the weight it does bear feels nice while in use. You can use whatever type of lube you wish. Cleaning Pleasure is simple. Soap and water is an excellent cleaning method as are toy cleaner sprays and wipes, but this beautiful toy can also be bleached and is dishwater safe. Do not boil the Pleasure as the hot temperature might cause it to break. If you wish to engage in temperature play, slowly cool it down or warm it up in a bowl of water. I find that just handling it for a minute or two warms it up considerably.

Pleasure comes with a black velvet storage bag in a checkered pattern that I'm really impressed with. The material is bit thicker than most storage bags (but definitely thinner than Don Wands') and the stitching is well done and quite sturdy. I laid the toy in its storage bag against a glass dildo and there wasn't a scary clack of the two hitting together, just a nice thud muffled by the bag. Neither toy suffered any ill effects. Despite this you will still want to avoid dropping this dildo.

Because its surface is so smooth, you don't need a lot of lube. In fact, if you make it too slick you lose some of the sensation of the bulbs. Also, it can be hard to keep a hold of when it's really slippery. I've always liked the initial pop of a toy going inside of me, and this excellent toy gives you that sensation over and over again. And it feels very damn good. The bulbs can also be rubbed along the clitoris for extra stimulation.

I Think I’ll Have the China Black

The Pleasure is a smooth, seriously bulbed ceramic dildo. While slightly larger than many beginner toys, the glazed surface means it needs very little lube for a great deal of play. Glazed in dramatic black or red, the non-phallic design is simple and attractive. The lightweight material makes it easy on the wrists even with extended use, and the design is both easy to hold onto in the heat of the moment, and a sheer delight to use.
Pros:
Ceramic, easy to clean and sterilize, can be shared, easy to grip, recyclable packaging.
Cons:
Bag isn't padded, small color selection.

The Pleasure is a lovely ceramic dildo by Duncan Charles Designs. Its deceptively simple design makes it a smooth, sensuous toy, especially for those who love that first pop of insertion again, and again, and again. More than hard enough for those who enjoy firm g-spot stimulation, the Pleasure glides where it is desired. It may be used vaginally or anally but, it lacks a flanged base so, care must be taken to keep a firm grip on the last two bulbs. In a pinch, it also makes a nice massage wand, helping you work out the kinks from your sexual over-exertions.
The Pleasure is made of ceramic, which has been finished with a food-safe glaze. The glazed ceramic is just as non-porous and durable as a glass dildo, but it makes the toy significantly lighter than a similarly sized glass or aluminum toy; it is even lighter than some dense silicone toys of similar size. The weight is easy on the wrists without making it feel flimsy. The fired glaze is hard, smooth, and reflective, much like glass. It has ever so slightly more drag than a glass toy, making it a good option who enjoy a little more friction than smooth glass can provide. Ceramic absorbs and holds heat well, so it performs beautifully when heated before use; unfortunately, this means that the flip side is that on summer days it won’t stay chilly long.
At first glance, the Pleasure looks like a stack of bubbles, piled one on top of another. The grooves between each bulge are deep, making it easy to keep your grip on even when things get slippery. They also make each bubble very prominent and defined as they penetrate. The bubbles, which are uniform in size, peak at 1 1/4” in diameter, with the grooves slimming in to 7/8”.

At the bottom of the Pleasure, the final bubble is capped with a flat disk. While at first this seems to break the curvaceous line of the toy, it is very useful: it ends up where your finger rests on the base when using the toy alone. This makes thrusting more stable, because the finger slips around much less on a flat surface than it would on a sphere.

Because of its non-phallic appearance, the Pleasure can easily be passed off as an elaborate massage wand or stood on its base as a decorative piece. While its ceramic build will let it pass through airport scanners, it may not be the best travel companion because it is, after all, ceramic. If your bag gets tossed around, there is a very real possibility that you will open your bag to find your ceramic dildo in pieces.
The Pleasure doesn't have any fancy, high-tech bells and whistles, but it doesn't need them: it lets the smooth curves and hard, warm ceramic do the talking. Those who enjoy firm stimulation will find that the Pleasure delivers firm in spades; those who enjoy elegant shapes with minimal texture will find this sleek toy to be exactly what its name promises. The deep grooves and end disk make it very easy to hold onto, even when slick with lube in use or soap in cleaning.
This ceramic toy is very easy to clean and care for, and with proper care should last a lifetime. As with glass, be careful not to drop the Pleasure, and be careful when heating or cooling the ceramic. Always warm or cool it slowly in a bowl of water; boiling or freezing can cause cracking of your lovely toy.

Cleaning the Pleasure is simple. Ye olde soap and water work wonders, and toy cleaners and wipes also get it clean without much fuss. While the grooves are deeper than those found in many toys of similar design, they are still nice and open which makes them easy to clean. Because it is non-porous, ceramic can be disinfected with bleach. It should not, however, be boiled.
The Pleasure arrives in simple, recyclable packaging: a plain white paperboard box, with the Pleasure wrapped in bubble-wrap. A paper insert is slipped in beside the dildo, detailing proper care of a ceramic toy. With the dildo comes a suede pouch for storage. While the pouch is nice and keeps the Pleasure from rubbing against other toys, it isn't padded to give protection from harder jolts - say, when a toy drawer is pulled open quickly in the heat of the moment

Big Red

The Signature is a sleek, heavily ridged ceramic dildo with a nice amount of heft and girth in it's spicy, autumn colored shaft. Excellent for temperature play as it retains temps well, this dildo is highly textured yet incredibly smooth and frictionless resulting in a lot of sensation but no drag or pulling of tender skin.

Pros:
Non porous, heavily ridged, excellent texture, smooth, girthy and gorgeous.
Cons:
May be too textured for some.

Rating by reviewer: ****

The Signature, by Duncan Charles Designs, is definitely a toy for the more advanced user with a great love of texture.

The eight inch shaft measures in at a 1.5 inch diameter but feels slightly larger due to the firm, unyielding material and extensively ridged shaft. If texture is your thing, this dildo is a dream. If you prefer a smooth toy, this isn't it. The shaft is ringed with fourteen raised ridges and you'll feel every one as you thrust.

Fortunately it's not an extreme or painful sensation, though it is certainly noticeable and stimulating! The ridges themselves are smooth and sleek to the touch which means you get no friction from the material, just row upon row of slick speed bumps.

The Signature is ceramic and it's a bright, warm red. So rare in ceramic toys where everything seems to be white and pale and girly. This one, with it's spicy color, should appeal to just about anyone who prefers color and variety in their toys, male and female alike.

Ceramic, like glass, wood and metal, is completely firm with no give, flex or bend. It can be used with any lube you prefer; oil, water or silicone based. It's ideal for temperature play and can easily be warmed in hot or cold water or even the refrigerator. It holds temperature well and slowly warms up or cools down as you use it. (Think coffee cup here) It's non porous so it can be sanitized with a bleach solution or by popping it in the dishwasher or simply washed under warm water with a liquid soap. Attention should be paid to the ridges, however, as they do tend to accumulate more goo and lube than a smooth toy would.

The ceramic is incredibly sleek and frictionless, requiring very little in the way of lube once you've gotten it inserted. The ridges, which are the only thing that provide texture, feel exquisite whether you use the dildo to thrust, twist it or simply drag it's surface along your clitoris and labia. It's cool (unless you warm it up) and heavy, substantial and girthy yet not so heavy it's difficult or fatiguing to use.

The bulbous, round head gives you a great surface for rubbing your g-spot but, again, it has no flex nor is it curved so if you need a curved toy for g-spot stimulation this one may not do it for you. If you don't need the curve and appreciate a firm, broad surface, the Signature is a g spot magnet.

The ridges stimulate the labia and entrance of the vagina while the rounded tip rubs and massages and caresses the g-spot with every thrust.
I wouldn't necessarily recommend this for anal play as it has no flared base though it is long enough you could probably do it safely with a partner to keep a grip on it.

It does become slick when lubed up so use extreme caution if you decide to try it anally. If it's being thrusted by a partner, they should also use caution as it's easy to bruise tender flesh if you thrust too hard or too deep, easy to hit the pelvic bone in a not very pleasant way.

This toy is best used gently and carefully until you get a good feel for it.

The signature comes with a black, suede storage bag with a fold over flap to close it rather than the typical drawstring. It isn't padded but it's soft to the touch and protects the toy from being chipped or broken if it bumps against other toys.

The Signature is hand made of food grade ceramic so it's safe for the body and environmentally friendly. It feels much like glass, is odor and bacteria resistant and the color is part of the glazing process, so there are no worries about it fading or chipping off.

All in all, the Signature has definitely become one of the best things in my toy box. I love it's cool, thick shaft, it's ridges and it's big round head. Duncan Charles, for the win!
Follow-up commentary   I still like it 2 months after original review
Mmmm. Big red. I like this one more now than I did initially. I'd probably switch it to five stars if I could. The texture, along with the firmness, is just so, so wonderful.

I'm so irked that we don't sell more of the Duncan Charles pieces cuz I really like this one!

Every time I use it, I think of the difference between a drinking glass and a coffee mug. That's the difference between this one and glass dildos. A certain thickness and solidness that is likely more a mental reaction than an actual physical truth.

The Honey Wand is Quite a Honey of a Wand!
Published: February 10, 2010

The Honey Wand is an excellent, highly textured ceramic wand with a nice, 1.5 inch ball for a tip. The ball easily and fully stimulates the g-spot despite it's lack of a curve and is amazing for external clitoral and labial stimulation as well. Firm, great for temperature play, easy to clean, this is a honey of a toy.
Pros:
Long, easy to maneuver, great color, sterilize able, super texture
Cons:
May be too textured for those who prefer a smooth toy
Rating by reviewer: *****

I've been enamored with the Honey Wand since we first saw it in the Duncan Charles Designs "name that toy" contest. It just looks so fun! And red ceramic? Way, way more spicy than plain old milky white. In fact, this reminds me of the color of a red, hot chili pepper!

The Honey Wand is nine inches of ceramic with a one and a half inch, swirled, textured head that really does resemble the tool you use to dip honey from a jar.

Because it's ceramic, it's a firm toy, with no bend or give, no flex at all. As such, be careful when thrusting as it's easy to bruise and bang your bits! Partner play should be done with a bit of caution; over exuberance, with this one, is bad, bad, bad. It's also very conducive to temperature play. Like a coffee mug, it holds heat well and can very easily be warmed up by running it under hot water or by putting it in a very low heat oven for a short while. (ceramic is oven safe) You can cool it down the same way or even by putting it in a bowl of ice water or in the refrigerator -- just don't freeze or microwave your wand as those extreme temperatures may break it!

The Honey Wand is really excellent for g-spot stimulation. The thin-ish shaft and large-ish ball end make it easy to angle to rub against your g-spot while the texture creates extra friction you don't normally get with smooth ceramic. It's a unique sensation. It can also be used to rub against your clitoris, labia, anywhere, really, that you desire some stimulation from the texture. Those who don't need vibrations to have a clitoral orgasm may seriously enjoy rubbing this manually against their clit.

Because it's ceramic, any lube can be used if you feel you need it; I prefer just the smallest amount of silicone lube but water based or even oil based are fine, too, in that they won't damage the toy. This is not recommended for anal use, though, since it has no flared base and the shaft is actually smaller than the insertable head.

Clean up is easy; simply wash with hot soapy water, spray with a ten percent bleach solution or even toss it in the dishwasher (top shelf, no soap) and you're good to go. Spray toy cleaner and wipes also work well, though you may need to work a bit to get goo out of the grooves. I wouldn't recommend boiling simply because it may be too extreme a change of temperature.

The Honey Wand comes in a very nice, black checkered pouch (matte and velvet black checks) with an envelope style closure at the top. Think sandwich bag style, only more secure. I love these types of bags as there is no drawstring to eventually break. The bag is not padded, however, so use care that you don't have it banging around against other hard toys, etc.

Let’s Twist Again
Published: February 5, 2010

Duncan Charles Designs' Ceramic Swirl is a ceramic plug with a modified juicer design that increases stimulation during thrusting and twisting play, as well as being a comfortable toy for plug use. Indeed, this toy transcends the anal plug category by being a good toy for vaginal and clitoral/labial use as well, and the easy-to-clean and sterilizable material makes switching back and forth a snap.
Pros:
Stimulating, comfortable for short to mid range wear, useful as more than a plug.
Cons:
Possibly too aggressively stimulating for beginners. Short neck may make retention difficult.

Rating by reviewer: ****

Designed as a plug, the Ceramic Swirl works well in that capacity. It was comfortable when inserted and seemed to stay in reasonably well, although its short neck means that you might have to intentionally hold it in (either with your anus or your hand) now and then. The biggest downside to using the Ceramic Swirl as a plug is that you only get to experience the ridges twice: once when it slides in, and once when it slides out. While it works as a plug (and feels good), this toy shines for more interactive play, when the ridges can be slid in sensitive bits and the sturdy base given a good wiggle now and then.

The ridges also make this a fun vaginal toy. The Ceramic Swirl can be used either penetratively or rubbed along the vulva for clitoral stimulation.
Ceramic butt plugs are a rarity, but this material has some unique characteristics. Like glass it is rock hard, holds heat and cold well, and is completely body safe and sterilizable. The fact that ceramics (in this case porcelain) can be cold-formed rather than requiring the maker to deal with a hot, runny mass allows for some flexibility in design (here the ridges) that would be very difficult to form in glass. Unfortunately ceramics share glass' big downside - they can be chipped if dropped.

Apart from the ridges winding down its length the Ceramic Swirl is finished in a completely smooth red glaze. The glaze makes the lubed plug to feel very slick and easy to insert, as well as making cleanup easy after use.
The Ceramic Swirl is a midsized, slightly angular and very straight plug with pronounced ridges spiraling down the length of the body. While the ridges look aggressive in the picture, they are smoothly rounded and feel quite good sliding in and out during insertion, removal, or thrusting play. The size is a good choice for most users, since the rock-hard ceramic material feels a bit bigger than it is.

The base is an oblong formed by two "wings" that are each about 1" long and have rounded tips. Their length and stiffness ensure that the Ceramic Swirl will not slide too far inside, while their narrow 1" width allows for comfortable wear even while sitting.

At 1/2" long, the neck is on the short side, but the rounded transition to the plug body makes this plug comfortable to wear. I found it to stay in easily most of the time, but from time to time I did need to clench down a bit to keep it inside.

How discreet this toy is depends on who finds it. The material and design do not scream "I'm a sex toy", but you'd be hard pressed to come up with an alternate explanation on the spur of the moment - possibly "small hand-held citrus juicer"
The Ceramic Swirl performs admirably. The ridges make this an excellent choice if you're interested in thrusting play or a "juicer" style of plug, while the stiff material and wide easy-grab base allow for plenty of "wiggle" stimulation. The more rounded transition between the neck and body in this redesigned model is comfortable for mid-length wear, as is the base, but the short neck means that the Ceramic Swirl probably isn't secure enough for use as a long-term plug without something to help hold it in.
Ceramic is a very easy material to take care of, so the only major concern with the Ceramic Swirl is to minimize the risk of it chipping or breaking. Since it's made of porcelain it is fairly strong, but you need to take approximately the same care with the Ceramic Swirl that you would take with a prized coffee cup. The included storage bag helps minimize the risk of chips during storage, and making sure to use it over a soft surface rather than a hard floor (such as concrete) will help to prevent mishaps during use from the plug being dropped.

The hard, smooth, and nearly indestructible surface of the Ceramic Swirl makes cleaning easy, the only downside possibly being the deep groves. You can clean the Ceramic Swirl using almost any cleaner known, with the exception of hydrofluoric acid. I personally use soap and water in the sink, but toy cleaner or even a trip through your dishwasher are acceptable ways to clean the Ceramic Swirl. Once it's clean you can sterilize it if you want by boiling it in water or soaking it in a 10% bleach solution, both making the Ceramic Swirl safe for sharing.
The Ceramic Swirl ships with a black cloth storage bag that helps protect the Swirl from chips and scratches. Also included is a small paper with instructions for care. Those of you keeping score might be interested to note that this is possibly the world's first oven-safe buttplug. While it is possible to use the oven to warm the Swirl up I strongly advise plenty of caution when doing so. Most ovens do not reliably hold temperatures under 150F, so if you're not careful the Swirl can get a bit warmer than you might want.

I'll reiterate the instruction's note to avoid the microwave for heating. Since ceramic materials are a mix of different materials rather than being homogenous, it's possible for there to be areas that get substantially hotter in the microwave - as anyone who's burnt themselves on an unusually hot part of a microwaved coffeecup knows.
Duncan Charles Designs' first butt plug had some problems, but they have taken the Ceramic Swirl back to the drawing board and changed what was needed to in order to make it into a comfortable product.

The Ceramic Swirl retains the pronounced spiral ridges of the original Swirl. These ridges look aggressive (especially when you realize that they're made of rock-hard porcelain), but are very comfortable and stimulating during use (although I'd not recommend this plug for a beginner).

Duncan Charles' changes are small but do what's needed. The redesigned Swirl is a bit slimmer than the original plug, with 5" of circumference. The neck is the same diameter, but the upper part has been re-contoured in order to flow into the body better (a source of discomfort on the original model). A redesigned base (with narrow wings) rounds out the list of changes, and turns a product that had lots of potential into a product that delivers. Bravo to Duncan Charles Designs for listening and taking action.

The Ceramic Bubbles plug is a beautiful, hand made piece for anal play. While warm-up toys may be needed, the plug inserts smoothly and the bubbles provide stimulation. Its narrow neck helps the plug stay in place and the base can be turned so it doesn’t interfere with penetration. Suitable for temperature play, this plug is filling and pleasant to use.
Pros:
Ceramic, hand made, pleasing design and color, can be used for temperature play, filling.
Cons:
Storage bag not padded.

When it comes to butt plugs, I’ve tried a lot of different materials. Jelly, rubber, silicone, glass, metal, even wood. But the Ceramic Bubbles plug from Duncan Charles Designs is the first plug I’ve tried made out of ceramic.

The Ceramic Bubbles plug is quite pretty and could be displayed out on a counter on a shelf. It's a deep purple/blue color, smooth as glass with no evident seams. The coloring under the glaze turns white around the base edges but enhances, rather than detracts, from the color and design. The base is completely closed.

The Bubbles plug is 5 1/4" long, with an insertable length of 4 1/2". The plug consists of 3 bubbles. The top bubble is 1 1/4” long, with a diameter of 1 1/2". It doesn’t have a taper at the top, so it can be tricky to insert if you aren’t sufficiently warmed up. The middle and bottom bubbles are about 1” long, also with a 1 1/2" diameter. The bubbles gently narrow to 1” before the start of the next bubble.

The neck of the plug has a 1” diameter before reaching the flared base. The base is 2 1/4" wide, and 1/4” thick. The bottom is not flat, rather there is a round ceramic sealer 1” in diameter that sticks out 1/4” from the bottom.

The plug should be inserted slowly, one bubble at a time, and you should allow some time in between to get used to the full feeling the plug provides. It can be gently thrust once inserted or it can be left in place. The base can be gently turned so it doesn’t interfere with penetration.

Ceramic is great for temperature play. For a cooling sensation the Ceramic Bubbles can be run under cool water or placed in the refrigerator. For warmer sensations, the plug can be allowed to warm to body temperature or run under hot water. The instruction sheet also says it can be placed in an oven on low to warm it, but use extreme caution if you heat this in the oven to avoid burns and problems! I think hot water is a much safer way to warm this. The plug should never be heated in the microwave
.

Like all Duncan Charles Designs, the Bubbles plug is handmade from lead-free, non-toxic materials. The ceramic is non-porous, hypoallergenic, and latex free, and is a food-grade material.

This plug can be cleaned with warm water and antibacterial soap. You should never use abrasive cleaners or metal scrubbers to clean it. The plug should always be checked for any chipping or cracking before use and stored in its protective pouch. It comes with a black velvet/satin checkered storage bag for this purpose. The bag is unpadded, but should provide protection to the piece when it is not in use.

Both water-based and silicone lubricants are safe to use.

Since the plug is completely sealed, it’s safe to take into the bath if desired, but care should be taken not to drop it in the tub.

This is a lovely and functional plug, and a pleasure to use.

Experience
I really enjoyed this plug. It’s too large for me to use to start out with, especially since the head doesn't taper, but after using some warm-up toys I was ready to give it a go. Once we got the first bubble in, the others went in much easier. I didn’t find the plug too heavy, but it certainly was filling.

My husband was able to gently move this in and out although I preferred just keeping it in place. By turning the base we found that it didn’t interfere with penetration, and I didn’t have a problem keeping it inside.

We tried a bit of temperature play as well. I was afraid to put it in the oven (I don’t like it that hot), but running it under water, both hot and cold, made for a bit of fun. The temperature was not too extreme, and the plug held the temperature for a reasonable time.

This is definitely a fun plug, and it's made me even more fond of ceramic toys.
